Dynamic and joyful innovations demonstrating the infintely divine nature of musical possibilities. Joy is Now features compelling duets and kirtan call-response between GuruGanesha and Snatam Kaur, whose unforgettable voices create a counterpoint of masculine and feminine, strength and sweetness, earth and ether. GuruGanesha's signature guitar work enters new raag/jazz influenced realms in a sparkling conversation with a diverse ensemble of classical Indian insruments including sitar, sarod, esraj, flute and Indian violin.

Journeying from intimate to expansive, Pure Ganesh showcases GuruGanesha Singh's signature guitar work and rich chant vocals. It also features the soaring vocal improvisations of Snatam Kaur. Recording Pure Ganesh exposed GuruGanesha to new levels of musical and spiritual development. 'A part of me is expressed through this album that has been dormant since 1972 when I essentially started focusing on backing up chanting with rhythm guitar instead of continuing to grow as a lead guitarist. My creativity as a guitarist has really come alive since I started playing with Snatam Kaur and has particularly come alive during the creation of this album. It's very exciting to realize that at age 55 my best years as a guitarist and musician are still ahead of me. I am now determined to realize my full potential before I leave this physical body and I feel like the sky is the limit.'

An album of uncompromising depth and richness, Grateful Ganesh brings morning Sadhana chants to the world with an intoxicating fullness. With each listening, the experience of this album is enhanced with the unveiling of another layer of its vocal harmonies and gifted instrumentation. But with the listening, one feels deeply compelled to chant along and join the experience. Entitled a chant celebration to greet the day, this album fulfills its promise.

After spending 2 years touring and writing new music, Snatam Kaur releases Liberation’s Door, an album written and recorded as she experienced the magical creativity of her first pregnancy. This album builds on the fluid, soaring music that Snatam is known for, but raises it to a new level with her maternal energy unleashing a depth of emotion and richness beyond anything we’ve heard from Snatam before. Blending Gurmukhi mantra, Shabds (traditional Sikh prayers put to music) and the sweetest of songs, Snatam lays her heart and her devotion at the feet of the listener.
Snatam is joined by her longtime musical colleague, GuruGanesha Singh, on this album. GuruGanesha helped with the compositions and his guitar & support vocals bring incredible depth and breadth to the music. Manish Vyas also joins them on a few of the tracks with his voice like the sweetest of instruments dancing through the music.
Thomas Barquee’s masterful production skills are on full display here as he blends cello, flute, tablas, keyboard, sarangi and GuruGanesha’s signature guitar to cradle Snatam’s crystalline voice which will carry your spirit straight to liberation’s door.

It's now the 21st century and our rapidly shrinking planet has no more time to live without 'peace of mind' or 'peace on Earth'. We can't continue to characterize differences between people based on old paradigms of race, religion, culture or gender. A game of chance is a game of fate, played with cards of doubt, fear and mistrust. A Game of Chants is a game of destiny played with a sense of inner peace, awareness of natural ecology and human togetherness. In this game we create joy with sound.

There’s a powerful source of melodic & rhythmic knowledge in every living creature, like a cosmic Morris Code. As we unfold this life essence in our hearts and souls we rediscover the power by which we live. This is more often the case with children and young adults, for they’ve not yet established any fear of their powerful unique expression. The melodies and rhythms used on this album are for abolishing those fears and opening the expression of one’s unique sacred nature. Sing along with them and have an impact on your life. Don’t try to fit in. You fit perfectly in you.

The Mul Mantra contains the root sounds of all effective mantras. Chanting this mantra (aloud, in a whisper, or mentally), will deliver us to the core of our being. Just listen or chant along.

The title song, "Reunion", tells the story of the Spirit of Khalsa, or Pure Ones, reaching out from the past to be felt in the present. Snatam's lead vocal and the back-up vocals of Livtar and Guru Ganesha are haunting and enchanting. When the group shifts into repetition of the mantra for spiritual ecstasy (Wha Guru), the effect is mesmerizing.
