GuruGanesha spends much of the year touring, enchanting audiences with his guitar wizardry and singing on tour with Snatam Kaur on the Celebrate Peace Tour. They play before audiences that range from 100 to 1200 people. Like traditional Kirtan, there is a call and response portion to much of their concerts, but the pedigree of the musicianship sets their performances apart. GuruGanesha Singh, a life-long musician, feels an intense need to take this sacred music and raise it to new heights with musicians who are masters of their craft.
Snatam Kaur and GuruGanesha Singh are dedicated to creating a musical experience that honors the sacredness of the sound. They rehearse with the other members of the band for weeks before going on tour. Their onstage communication is so subtle and so tight, it feels like you are being carried over gentle waters.
"The purpose of our concerts is to create a beautiful experience, to offer people a chance to go deep within themselves and be uplifted from the inside out. The music allows them to experience the quietness within themselves, a total sense of contentment and gratitude. Sacred music can help people find peace inside themselves so they can express it outside themselves. It is humbling but also empowering that our inner space absolutely does have an effect on the planet around us."
GuruGanesha Singh and Snatam Kaur are ambassadors for 3HO, a UN NGO and continue to be committed to supporting the UN's peace resolutions through their Sacred Chant Tour.
